Energy and Environment Cabinet of Kentucky selects ADICA for "Enhanced Strategic Energy Sector Analyses and Planning"
ADICA is awarded a contract with the Energy and Environmental Cabinet of Kentucky for “Enhanced strategic energy sector analyses and planning.” The project is designed to develop enhanced capacity at the Department of Energy Development and Independence (DEDI) to support Kentucky’s overall energy strategy, particularly in the areas of energy sector planning and analysis, technical and economic analysis and modeling, environmental costs and benefits assessment, and energy infrastructure analysis.
Under the project, ADICA will:
· Transfer proven computer modeling capabilities and know-how that allow DEDI to test various scenarios and advise policy makers in energy policy formulation; and
· Provide expert services that will complement and support the efforts of DEDI staff in conducting strategic energy sector analyses and planning.
Two modeling tools (ENPEP and GTMax) will be transferred for use by DEDI to provide forward looking policy guidance in an environment that includes complex interrelated energy supply, fuel production, generation, distribution, demand factors, economics, environmental policy, and regulatory framework.
