Adica CEO discusses international collaboration at Asia Power T&D
Summit, in Beijing, China
The Asia Power T&D Summit 2011, held in Beijing, China, last week attracted more than
130 policy-makers, experts, decision-makers and professionals to learn of
China’s smart grid road map and share market information and details on the
twelfth-five year master plan, UHV transmission, intelligent substations
construction, information communication technology, next generation
intelligent cities, and more.
Mr. Xu Dingming, counsellor of the State Council, Chairman of National
Energy Expert Consulting Committee, was the Chairman of the summit and shared his observations
and visions on the “Twelfth-five year” master plan.
Bruce
Hamilton, CEO of Adica described how Illinois is a center for international
collaboration on smart grid and green technology. In 2010, Illinois
and Korea established a partnership to jointly develop and deploy smart grid
and green technologies and business models. Phase I collaborative
projects were announced last summer in the areas of cyber-security, workforce
development, energy efficiency, building energy management systems, and
integration of distributed energy resources. Additional project
opportunities are being developed in the areas of smart buildings, smart
transportation, smart communities, and R&D.
