ADICA's Smart Market ^SM Solutions

SM - Optimizer
Helps utilities maximize the value of their system assets, taking into account detailed characteristics of hydro-thermal power and transmission resources, together with firm and non-firm contracts, independent power producer agreements, and bulk power transaction opportunities.

SM - Simulator
Uses an innovative agent-based approach to more accurately model the independent behavior of energy consumers and suppliers. With more accurate analytics, energy companies are better able to reduce risk, meet environmental requirements, conserve resources, reduce capital expenditures, and increase profits.

SM - Monitor
Designed for use by market operators and regulators to perform market monitoring and mitigation analysis. For example, the software was applied in a study conducted for the Illinois Commerce Commission to evaluate whether the transmission system in the state and surrounding region would be able to support a competitive electricity market.

SM - Planner
Designed for use in identifying the type, location and schedule of generation investments within a market environment. The user can chose to execute an agent-based approach with individual company agents using profit maximization as their objective or a dynamic programming approach based on system wide cost-minimization.
